I am a Social Worker and one of the founder members of Beyond Cancer.  Being diagnosed with breast cancer was a pivotal point in my life.  From the diagnosis to now, my life has changed and a new journey began for me.  I am proud to ay that I am a survivor of breast cancer. 

As Secretary for Beyond Cancer, I joined the Committee to support my friends and share my skills.

My role as Treasurer began with Beyond Cancer when cancer touched the lives of family members who are near and dear to me were diagnosed with cancer.  Having a financial background of over 23 years and knowledge of working with charities, it was a must for me to dedicate some of my time to such a worthy cause.  Working with the other members of the board as been an informative journey for me.  I have learnt so much and look forward to learning so much more.

I am a retired Nurse with many years experience of working in the field of Health and Social Care.  I became involved with Beyond Cancer through my experience of family and friends who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

I joined the Beyond Cancer Committee in July 2012 to support the work of the charity and share my skills in website development and communications.  I have worked in Higher Education for over 25 years.
