Fundraising Ball 12 May 2012 at The Marriott Hotel, Leeds
Thank you to all our supporters and those who attended our second Fundraising Ball on Saturday 12 May 2012 at The Marriott Hotel, Leeds. We have had brilliant feedback from guests, mentioning how much they enjoyed the whole event. We have included a few of their comments below. Our Third Fundraising Ball will take place on Saturday 25th May 2013, so please keep the date free.
"Had a wonderful evening last night! Congratulations to Isola, Rosemary, Pat and everyone else involved in organising the Ball last night. Really looking forward to the next event!!"
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! to the committee for making it possible for me to attend a well worthy cause. The speakers were inspiring and brought home the message that living with cancer is sometimes a temporary plight for most! There is light at the end of the tunnel, but, the journey has to be made and sometimes it's not an easy one. My happiness is made up of knowing that there is help and support outside of your immediate family. I ate until my belly was full and I danced until my feet hurt, couldn't have asked for more.
Well done Ladies."
"Well done ladies........another fantastic event, credit to the committee, sponsors & your supporters! First class venue, lovely food, fabulous music & great company.
Furthermore, congratulations on the achievement of your charity status. This is one of many events over the past week demonstrating community cohesion at its best - in unison we are a much stronger voice! Keep up the good work!
Blessings"
The theme for the Charity Ball was “Effects of young people with cancer”. The Beyond Cancer Committee nominated The Teenage Cancer Trust to be one of the beneficiaries from the proceeds of this event. Guest Speaker Sue Morgan MBE, Teenage Cancer Trust Nurse Consultant, spoke about the work and benefits of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
