A listening ear and hands to hold
Fundraising Ball 25 May 2013 at The Marriott Hotel, Leeds
Thank you to everyone who supported our Annual Charity Fundraising Ball which took place on 25 May 2013 at Leeds Marriott Hotel. The event was attended by 260 people and was an amazing success, raising £4,164.00.
The proceeds have been distributed to the following nominated charities; St Gemma's Hospice, MacMillan Cancer Support (Leeds Robert Ogden Centre) and Prostate Cancer UK. A small portion of the profits has also been donated to Beyond Cancer's Special Wishes Programme. Once again, we thank you all for your support which is even more appreciated in this difficult financial climate. We will keep you posted on other events coming up later this year.

Guest Speaker Austin Swanston shared his personal journey with prostate cancer.
Guest Speaker Tara Greatorex, Senior Fundraiser (Community) at St Gemma’s Hospice spoke about the work of the Hospice and the range of services they provide to support patients, their families and friends.
Vicky Johnson was the second recipient of the Beyond Cancer Hands that Hold Award in recognition of her ‘listening ear and hands that hold’.
"The Beyond Cancer Ball 2013 was an amazing, heartwarming and informative event. I would like to thank the committee, friends and family for a beautiful evening and the recognition you gave me. I was overwhelmed by the kind words. I can’t thank you enough for the support you have given me and my family through a very difficult and emotional time. I really appreciate it.
